Tammy is trained in a holistic approach and specializes in mental health, communication, splinting, oral motor, sensory modulation, and sensory integration. In addition, she has a special interest in sensory processing, autism spectrum disorders, and feeding disorders.
Tammy came to SPOT On Therapy in January 2020 as a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. With over 30 years of experience treating various disabilities in various settings with an extensive background in pediatrics, geriatrics, acute care, home health, school system, mental health, physical rehabilitation, orthopedics, and academics. She is trained in a holistic approach and specializes in mental health, communication, splinting, oral motor, sensory modulation, and sensory integration. In addition, she has a special interest in sensory processing, autism spectrum disorders, and feeding disorders. Starting as an Occupational Therapy Specialist graduating from the Academy of Health Sciences, US Army in 1989, she is a veteran of the USAF. She was certified as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in 1990 and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Liberty University. She is a native of this area with many years of volunteering in the local community and schools. She is a devoted mother and blessed with a loving husband, six children, a son-in-law, and two beautiful grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her husband and family while following all of her sons in their sporting endeavors.
