Let's Get Started!

At SPOT On Therapy Center, we believe that one of our first and most important contributions to your child’s success is helping you to navigate the process of establishing the best treatment team and plan to fit your child’s needs. We understand that this process can be confusing and challenging, and our hope is to make it as painless as possible so that you can focus on your family and your child.

Take a Tour

We encourage you to browse our website to find out more about the services we offer, review our staff biographies, read our testimonials, look at our available locations, and come in for a tour. We would love to meet you and your child and answer any questions you might have!

Understand Your Financial Options

The world of healthcare and insurance can be confusing. At SOTC, we believe that access to quality care and continuity of that care are critical to a child’s healing and development. We are pleased to be in network with most major insurances in the state of NC. Before scheduling an evaluation or treatment, our friendly and helpful administrative staff will obtain your insurance information and verify your benefits. We will file claims on your behalf, and we will obtain any necessary authorizations. If you do not have insurance, we offer a competitive courtesy discount rate to help make our services affordable for your family.

Schedule an Appointment

All new patients must have an evaluation prior to beginning treatment in order to determine the appropriate plan of care. When you are ready to schedule an evaluation, you may call our offices and speak to a referral coordinator, who is ready to answer your questions and assist you with finding the right therapist for your child’s needs. Please be prepared with your child’s pediatrician and insurance information, and be able to describe your concerns to our staff. If you have documentation from a referring provider, please provide it to us before your evaluation, if possible. Referring providers may send this information directly to us with your permission. We will need a referral from your child’s pediatrician before your child can be seen for his/her initial evaluation, however our referrals coordinator is happy to request that information for you to make this process as easy as possible for you.

Complete New Patient Paperwork

If possible, complete our New Patient Questionnaire and New Patient Paperwork (emailed to you at the time of scheduling your first appointment) and fill them out prior to coming in for your evaluation. This will save valuable time during your first appointment. This information will help the therapist gain valuable insight into your child’s family, medical and developmental history, and help inform our plan of care to make the most progress with your child. Our referrals coordinator will send a text reminder with your appointment location, date and time, and therapist name as soon as your appointment has been made.

Schedule Treatment

Once your evaluation is complete and the evaluating therapist has made their recommendations and determined an appropriate plan of care, we will discuss treatment scheduling options with you. Typically, we prefer to give you and your child a recurring weekly appointment time for the frequency and duration recommended by the evaluating therapist. Having a regular treatment schedule helps ensure consistent progress is both made and maintained. Our therapists each have different office hours and schedules and can generally start as soon as the evaluation process is complete, pending any insurance pre-authorization, if required.
