Armed with a wealth of knowledge and practical experience, Denise possesses a masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. Her commitment to enhancing the lives of those she works with is evident in her empathetic and patient approach. Denise specializes in assessing and treating a diverse range of speech, language, and communication disorders with a goal of fostering and facilitating a collaborative treatment approach with families to support positive transformations in the lives of her clients. She encourages a child-led treatment approach supporting neurodiversity affirming principles utilizing an individual’s strengths within a total communication approach. Previously, Denise has worked in the public school system and skilled nursing facilities gaining a wide range of experience across the life span. She has called New Bern, NC home for the last 15 years, where she enjoys spending time and making memories with her family; her husband, Heath, two daughters, Caitlyn (18) and Sammie (10), and three rescued fur babies.
